## Abstract

The crystal structure of the title compound (molecular formula C17H10BrNO5) was analyzed. Both the indoline ring system and the coumarin moiety adopt nearly planar conformations, with the dihedral angle between the two ring systems measuring 85.09°. With the exception of the coumarin oxo oxygen atoms, all heteroatoms participate in intramolecular and intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions. An intramolecular O-H···O hydrogen bond is present, while O-H···O, N-H···O, and C-H···O contacts between molecules generate an extended three-dimensional network in the crystal lattice.
