Crystal structure of cis-diamminebis(nitrito-κN)platinum(II).

シス-ジアンミンビス(ニトリト-κN)白金(II)の結晶構造解析

other not specified not assessed

Abstract

Single crystals of cis-[Pt(NO2)2(NH3)2] were grown from a hypersaturated plating electrolyte. The divalent Pt(II) center adopts a square-planar geometry coordinated by four nitrogen atoms from two ammine and two monodentate nitrite ligands in a cis arrangement. The crystal packing features close-packed molecular stacks running along [001]. Nine crystallographically distinct intermolecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate an hxl-type network in which every molecule functions as an eight-connected node; four of these bonds link complexes within the same [001]-parallel column. Unlike the previously characterized trans isomer, no intramolecular hydrogen bonding is observed in this structure.

Delivery context

The delivery route is not clearly identifiable from this paper. For hydrogen intake, inhalation is the most efficient route; inhalation, however, carries explosion risk (empirical LFL of 10%; high-concentration devices are not recommended).
